My definition of a foodie is a person who loves food, bonds and socializes over meals, and sometimes evaluates vacations or most any occasion based upon her food experiences.
A real foodie doesn't need fancy, famous or expensive restaurants just good food.
Please notice that I did not say a skinnier you. Or that you'll be thin in 2010. That's because we, as a nation, are finally embracing some ideas/actions practiced in other cultures for centuries. Specifically, the connection between mind and body in all endeavors.
Yep! You can now be anyone you want to be and get away with it. Actually, you can almost be any two you want to be … it’s all about juxtaposition. Biker Chic gone glam. Ruffled and bowed little girl gone ga-ga. You can wear “mommy’s high heels.” (However, mommy could never imagine the heights shoes and soles have reached.) There are many new trends plus some blasts from the past — many of you will recognize them. Let’s break it down, head to toes.
Statistics reveal that 85 to 90 percent of women have cellulite! That’s why it is talked about so frequently. That’s why every summer women cringe at the thought of wearing shorts and swimsuits. That’s why beauty product research facilities around the world are searching for a remedy. And that’s why women of all ages are looking for a magic way to treat their problem areas.
Sun is a good thing. It makes things grow. It makes us happy. Songs and poems are written about it. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine”… “Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy”. And so on. Studies show humans can become blue and depressed, even suicidal, without some exposure to the sun. We need sunshine for other health benefits – Vitamin C, vision development and more.
