June Bratcher to spearhead this year’s
Go Red For Women Luncheon

The American Heart Association is happy to announce June ratcher, president and CEO of Daisy Tours Conventions, as this year’s Go Red for Women Luncheon chair.

With $200 in her pocket and determination to be a successful woman business owner, Bratcher launched Daisy Tours in 1980. Since then, she has grown her business and is the only motorcoach company worldwide that is recognized by the Military Transportation Management command for providing quality service.

Bratcher’s dedication and service to women is evident in the numerous accolades and awards she has received. In 2006, the National Association of Women Business Owners recognized her as the Woman of the Year. “Go Red for Women is about having passion for women’s health, and June has that same passion for women’s issues. She is an inspiration for all San Antonio women, and we knew that having her leadership for this year’s luncheon would help us to raise awareness for the Go Red campaign among San Antonio women,” says Lauren Thomas, corporate market director at the American Heart Association.

The Go Red for Women Luncheon is the signature fund-raising event of the Go Red for Women movement, a year-round campaign designed to help women learn about heart disease and stroke and empower them to make proactive lifestyle changes to reduce their risks.

This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, May 2, at Sunset Station and will feature survivors of cardiovascular disease sharing their personal stories, healthy living boutiques and a hearthealthy meal. The luncheon will attract more than 450 of San Antonio’s female community leaders.
