Even in the days when most women did not venture far from home,
they were credited for supporting others — “behind every great man … ” Today, as women achieve success in business, the professions and
public life, they still play vital supporting roles.
In this issue of SAN ANTONIO WOMAN we will introduce you to four
women who have taken leadership positions in fund raising and other supportive
measures for the arts. They devote their time, their energy and their
financial gifts to those causes. Our city would be much poorer without them.

Profile: (On The Cover) A Rising Star – Lawyer Sonia Rodriguez head the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women. Attorney Sonia Rodriguez was appointed by Mayor Phil Hardberger to chair the Mayor’s commission on the Status of Women through 2008.
